Austin has a sweet spot for catering to each and every diet with intention. Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or on an extremely particular diet: i.e. Keto, Whole 30, Paleo, etc, you will be able to find somewhere to dine without any guilt.  The restaurants below all have meal options under 600 calories that will leave you feeling satisfied.

Flower Child:

Fast-casual cafe with a menu featuring grains and green bowls, turkey wraps and avocado toast.  Options for all diets: vegan, paleo, gluten-free, etc.

True Food Kitchen:

This chef-driven seasonal food restaurant was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, whose study of integrative medicine inspired him to bring a new way of eating to the table.  The menu changes seasonally to offer the freshest produce, and include bowls, pizzas, sandwiches and salads.

Juice Society:

Contemporary juice shop that offers everything from juice cleanses and kits delivered to your door, to toast and smoothie bowls.  Founded by Danielle Sobel whose vision has bene to create a community-driven wellness brand fueled by the idea that wellness shouldn’t be intimidating but fun, exciting & inclusive.

Casa de Luz:

Plant based, organic, wholesome and gluten-free, Casa de Luz is the ultimate place to eat healthy in Austin.  The menu changes daily based on availability of seasonal ingredients.

Fresa’s:

Skip the queso and order a salad, grain bowl or protein-forward dish for a healthy Mexican meal.   Plenty of flavor without all the guilt that normally comes from indulging in TexMex.

Blenders and Bowls:

Acai Bowls with freshly blended fruits.  They list the nutritional info for each of their bowls online, so you can keep close tabs on the calorie count, sugar, etc. of your meal.

Picnik:

Good food that is good for you.  Picnik Founder, Naomi, struggled with food allergies throughout her life and longed for a simple solution.  Her allergen-free diet led her to begin Picnik, a food trailer, dedicated to providing gluten-free grab and go breakfast, butter coffee and bone broth all made with premium ingredients.

Bouldin Creek Cafe:

Eco-friendly cafe offering meatless meals on South First Street.  Gluten-free and vegan options are available for almost every item on the menu.

Juiceland:

Superfood smoothies, juices and plant-based foods for a healthy meal on-the-go.

Forthright Cafe:

Honest food made from scratch, prepared well, using quality ingredients.  The menu features toasts, grain bowls, soups and salads.
